Classroom Funding Needs to be Released Earlier According to New Auditor Report

A report from State Auditor Shad White highlights issues with Mississippi's Education Enhancement Fund procurement card program for K-12 teachers. Cards activate on August 1st, leaving 75% of classrooms, representing 24,000 teachers and 329,000 students, without funds for essential supplies at the school year's start. An earlier activation is recommended.
