CONSERVATION CORNER 

Kudzu, introduced from Japan in 1876, is widely spread in the Southeastern U.S. and has several nicknames. Initially promoted for ornamental use and forage, it offers benefits such as erosion control and livestock feed. However, it also harms forests by blocking sunlight, prompting ongoing research for effective control methods.
