The USDA NRCS is enrolling applications for Wetland Reserve Easements (WRE) to benefit landowners, wildlife, and water quality. Eligible landowners can receive payments to restore wetlands, cease farming, and maintain forests. The program enhances habitats, reduces flooding, and has invested over $128 million in six states since 2012.
