CONSERVATION CORNER

The wild turkey, native to North America, derives its name from historical trade routes. Adult males, known as toms, are larger than females, or hens, and exhibit colorful plumage. These birds are agile fliers, favoring hardwood forests with openings. Their health can be indicated by feather vibrancy.
