BELMONT, MS – Nestled in the heart of Belmont, Belmont Fitness Factory isn’t just a gym—it’s a place where members of all fitness levels come together to work toward their health and wellness goals. Owned by Chris and Nacole Young, the 24-hour fitness center offers a variety of workout options, including cardio equipment, free weights, weight and cable machines, and open classrooms for fitness classes, stretching, and floor exercises.
From Passion to Business
For Chris Young, fitness has been a lifelong passion. His journey into gym ownership began in 2016 when his best friend, Nick Nelson, started a gym in Golden, MS. Chris was there from the beginning, helping wherever he could. When Nick decided to sell the business a few years later, Chris jumped at the opportunity to take it over. Six years later, Belmont Fitness Factory has grown tremendously—expanding its equipment selection, relocating to a brand-new facility, and offering unique features tailored to its members’ needs.
“Our new facility, which opened in January 2025, was actually built by Nick, who now runs a metal building construction business,” Chris shared. “We were previously renting a space on Ridge Road, but having our own building has allowed us to better serve our members.”
More Than Just a Gym
What sets Belmont Fitness Factory apart from other gyms is its strong focus on personal connections. Rather than automated sign-ups, every new member is personally registered by Chris or Nacole, either in person or over the phone. The gym also boasts remote access capabilities, allowing memberships, door access, and payments to be managed at any time.
Additionally, the gym features a small children’s area and a designated workout space exclusively for women, offering a quiet and comfortable environment separate from the main gym floor.

Challenges and Growth
Like any business, Belmont Fitness Factory has faced its share of challenges. Maintaining equipment, balancing the needs of a diverse membership, and adapting to economic fluctuations have all been part of the journey.
“We’ve had slower periods, especially when local factories lay off workers or when the cost of living rises,” Nacole explained. “We also deal with increasing costs for supplies, but we try to keep our membership prices affordable to avoid losing members.”
Despite these hurdles, the gym remains competitive by keeping membership costs in line with similar gyms while eliminating hidden fees and contract commitments.
Creating a Judgment-Free Space
One of the biggest misconceptions about gym culture is the fear of judgment. Many people worry that they’ll feel out of place among experienced gym-goers. However, Chris and Nacole have seen the opposite to be true.
“Our members are incredibly welcoming, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced lifter,” Nacole said. “The gym is a place where people encourage and support each other, and that’s something we’re really proud of.”
Community and Impact
Belmont Fitness Factory plays an important role in the local community. Beyond providing a space for people to stay active and healthy, the gym fosters friendships, motivation, and an escape from daily stresses. The business also continues to donate annually to the Belmont Athletics Foundation, further supporting the town’s commitment to fitness.
Looking to the Future
As for what’s next, Chris and Nacole hope to continue upgrading equipment and expanding their offerings. While no new services are set in stone, they remain committed to growing and adapting to meet the needs of their members.
With the fitness industry continuing to expand, Belmont Fitness Factory stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, community, and the pursuit of health.
Supporting Belmont Fitness Factory
For those looking to support the gym, the best way is simple—join and be a part of the community. Additionally, sharing their Facebook page and recommending the gym to friends can go a long way in helping Belmont Fitness Factory continue to thrive.
At Belmont Fitness Factory, it’s not just about lifting weights—it’s about lifting each other up. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to push your limits, Chris and Nacole Young have created a space where everyone belongs.
