The Corinth Coca-Cola Classic 10k : A Mississippi Tradition

The Corinth Coca-Cola Classic 10k Run, established in 1982, is a celebrated annual event in Corinth, Mississippi. Initially organized as a fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation of Mississippi and to commemorate Corinth Coca-Cola Bottling Group’s 75th anniversary, the race has grown significantly over the decades.

Starting with 160 participants, the race now reaches its capacity of 1,500 runners each year. Recognized as Mississippi’s largest consecutively run 10k foot race, it has earned accolades such as being listed among Running Times’ “Great 100 Short Races” and is esteemed as one of the premier races in the South.

The event is more than just a race; it embodies Corinth Coca-Cola Bottling Group’s commitment to community health and fitness. The company collaborates with the Magnolia Regional Health Center Foundation to promote physical fitness among elementary students in Corinth and Alcorn County. The “Coke 10k Kids Get Fit Initiative” offers a four-week curriculum focusing on physical activity and character development, emphasizing encouragement, positivity, goal-setting, and healthy lifestyles

Held annually on the first Saturday of May, the Corinth Coca-Cola Classic 10k continues to attract runners from across the region, fostering community spirit and promoting a culture of health and wellness.
